After a long journey we had a friendly welcome. The bed was very comfortable indeed. The cooked breakfast was superb.Freshly cooked food which was still very hot when it was served. The fresh fruit salad was so nicely presented. The house is situated on a quiet road so we had a good nights sleep. Would thoroughly recommend this place to stay.

We had a very pleasant two night stay here whilst visiting our family. Our room was luxuriously appointed and spotlessly clean. The four posted bed was very comfortable and the bedding all superb quality. The ensuite shower room although compact was nicely done with a lovely hot shower and super fluffy towels. The mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water was a nice touch. Breakfast on both mornings was restaurant standard. Vegetarians are well catered for and both cooked and continental are excellent choices. We loved the fact it is delivered to your room where you can dine in private in your PJs if required! Served between 7-9 at a time to suit, we much preferred this to a formal diningroom. There is parking at the front or on the road. Very handy for town and for the seafront too. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. One slight observation is we were awoken at just after 5.00am one morning due to close proximity to the kitchen and the sound of breakfast prep. Earplugs are provided but I can't use them and am a light sleeper.Thanks to Ian and Amy for a lovely stay!

Lovely guest house, beds super comfy with luxurious bedding, lots of tea coffee and biscuits in your room. Place was super clean.Breakfast was out of this world beautifully served straight to your bedroom. Really first class would not hesitate to recommend to anyone

Stayed 2 nights and the service was excellent.Wry friendly team. Easy to check in even when arriving late and the breakfasts were excellent, I had the continental and the filled rolls and they were spot on. Great location for exploring Largs and the surrounding area.

We had a great two night stay from our arrival until leaving. Situated just on the edge of town peacocks is just 10 minutes walk into town and a good base to travel around. Our room was a good size, really clean bedroom and bathroom. Tv was good, breakfast is very good great choice and delivered to your room at a time to suit you.Would definitely recommend peacocks well worth a visit

Highly recommend the Peacock Guesthouse. Very convenient location - in close walking distance to town, sea front and train station, and about 20 mins walk to the marina. Ian and Amy provided a warm welcome and good conversation. The room was clean and comfortable with some nice touches. Breakfast (I had the full veggie) was delicious and filling. Hosts were very accommodating with a couple of favours too, which my visit to Largs run smoothly. I would certainly stay here again.

We were very impressed with this lovely B&B, from the location to the modern decor and the best breakfast ever! Our host Ian couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming.The room was a good size with en-suite, everything fresh, clean and immaculately presented.The hosts have anticipated their guests every need and our only regret is that we were only there for one night.Peacock Guest House is top notch in every way and fabulous value for money.

Very good accommodation with breakfast served directly in our room. Lots of amenities and huge tv screen.On the downside the room was on the ground floor with no view at all and we didn’t like the town of Largs in itself.All in all the price we felt that the price we paid was way to high for the accommodation itself but since we were there for the Open surely rates were inflated.

Ian and Amy were great hosts. The room (which was a single) was very comfortable and had everything that a traveller could need. Good internet so streaming was fine! Beautiful scenery and walks nearby. Went up Castle Hill which I'd recommend if you're time constrained.

Immaculately clean and tidy. Slightly quirky being served breakfast in our bedroom, but breakfast was five star! We had cycled there and our bikes were securely stored overnight in a garden shed.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Peacock - and once again Ian & Amy have done something exceptional. We had to leave Largs at 5am to complete a 500 mile drive. Si Ian got up at 4am to provide us with a packed breakfast that was so large we had bfast and lunch and didnt have to buy anything on the motorway all the way to the south coast. As always the room; shower; bfast at Peacock was oustanding.

Travelled with my friend.Lovely rooms.Comfy beds.Excellent breakfast.We did have an issue with the televisions though, but we are elderly and just used to the main stations, whereas there were multiple on offer, but we did have difficulty getting our favourite programmes.All good otherwise.Pleasant hosts.

I would definitely recommend staying at here and intend to revisit later this year.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Peacocks Guesthouse. The staff is very kind. Location is very convenient for anything you would like to do in town. The room was a bit small but good for one person and also very cosy and comfortable.I started my days with amazing vegan breakfast brought to my door. Fantastic!

Ian and his wife have a beautiful home and made us feel very welcome.Our room was so comfortable and the Scottish breakfast we had was delicious.This was our second stay here so wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Peacock.It is only about 10-15 min walk to the waterfront, shops and the ferry terminal to Isle of Cumbrae which is a lovely wee 15 min jaunt.

I have stayed at the Peacock twice, and also at two other establishments in Largs over the past year. The Peacock is head and shoulders above the rest. It is comfortable, spotlessly clean, terrific shower - Ian & Amy really show some style and skill in running this guest house.To top it all Ian produces fantastic breakfasts! Since I stayed for 7 nights on this occasion, Ian asked me what he could make me for breakfast - I asked for a Masala Omelette. Ian obliged with another amazing spread worthy of a 5 star hotel in India.Highly recommended - I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Peacock Guest house for 3 nights.Great location to the pretty seaside town of Largs and walking distance to catch a ferry to the isle of Cumbrae and an easy drive to catch a ferry to Bute for the day.My room was very comfortable and clean and I was greeted each morning with the best breakfast imaginable on a trolley delivered to my room for convenience.The hosts were just so welcoming and friendly and I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.

We booked three rooms for the night of my daughter’s wedding. Staff could not have been more accommodating. Gave us early check in to allow us to get ready for the wedding. Rooms are modern, spotless and have everything you could need. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Well recommended .

Peacock’s B&B has been refurbished since our last visit 5 years ago and has vastly improved. We had a deluxe room as we wanted a king size bed and we were very happy with it. It was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the room and was very tasty. Off-road parking is now available which is a big plus too.

We have stayed at this b&b four times over the last two years. It is always our first choice in the area but is not always available. It has changed hands recently but still has the same high standards and is good value for money. Excellent breakfast, clean, quiet and comfortable with parking.

We stayed at Peacock House for one night and couldn’t fault the service received. Ian greeted us and our room was ready. Well appointed with lots of nice touches, which were very much appreciated, such as robes, slippers, well stocked tea/coffee, water, milk; bathroom extras including make-up cleanser, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and plenty of fluffy white towels. Breakfast was ordered via text the night before, with plenty to choose from. We had the full Scottish breakfast, which was hot, substantial and delicious. Very smooth checkout. We would definitely stay again.

I found a small chalkboard on the door of my room welcoming me by name, which I thought was a really nice touch.Breakfast is served directly to your room, to order - what luxury!!Ian was a brilliant host - friendly, very accommodating and he cooks an amazing breakfast! I opted for the full Scottish, which was served absolutely piping hot and cooked to perfection. Everything on the plate was full of flavour and deliciousness. Just returned from a fantastic 7 night stay in the cottage. A great base for exploring and sightseeing trips further afield. The cottage provided a real home from home on days we chose to relax. The addition of the hot tub for the accommodation was perfect and a big part of why we chose to stay at Peacocks! The cooked breakfast delivered daily and the range of choice available was excellent. Elaine was a superb host!We are likely to return in the future and hope the new owners continue to match the standard set this visit

On this visit we occupied the cottage with private hot tub.The whole place is immaculately clean and cosy.Beds are comftable and sitting in the living room with the rain hitting off the roof knowing you are all safe and cosy was a pleasure to me.We had everything needed in the kitchen and the showers are great.Family enjoyed the hot tub and breakfast at a wee xtra cost was exceptional as usual.Elaine is a 1st class host and will be sorely missed by her regular guests.

A lovely guest house where we were made very welcome by the owners. Lovely filling breakfast and a very comfortable bed. Great location, not far from the centre and just a short walk to the ferry terminal to get over to Great Cumbrae. Can also recommend Tinto for Spanish tapas and Nardini's for ice cream in Largs.

Literally from driving in, the look of the cottage was beautiful! Everything inside was super cosy and made me feel so comfortable! The hot tub, is just as amazing too!! We stayed 5 nights and found the Peacock Guest House to be convenient, clean and veryhospitable.The bedrooms in the cottage were tight however the living room area gave us aplace to gather and relax. Our breakfast choices met all our needs, whether someone wanted a full Scottish breakfast or vegetarian options.

My first impression was Elaine's helpfulness and friendliness, as she accommodated my need to check in early and gave me some shopping tips.My room at the Peacock Guesshouse was beautiful, with everything that you could need plus lots of fabulous touches; from chilled water to slippers and oodies. There is a wide breakfast range and my option (Scrambled eggs and bacon) was excellent and a very good size.This is one of the best guesthouse I have stayed at in my travels and far better than many hotels.

Booked for a little overnight stay at the hot tub cottage. Such a lovely place and so easy to get to. Everything was clean and tidy. The added little extras make it that bit nicer. The host was absolutely lovely, very friendy and could not do enough. Breakfast was also 10/10. Will definately be recommending this little hidden gem and can't wait too book again :)x

We arrived very late due to traffic. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us. The room was fabulous and the freshly cooked breakfast was amazing. Could not have asked for a better welcome. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. An absolute must to try❤️

3rd stay and all we can say that Peacocks Guesthouse is faultless. Elaine goes above and beyond to ensure that you have everything you could possibly need. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Recently stayed here while attending a wedding in largs. Elaine was so kind and helpful. Gave us a late checkout and even offered us a lift. Cottage was lovely, very clean and had everything we could have asked for. Great nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Peacock Guest House. Our room was beautiful and the owner Elaine had gone above and beyond. Anything you could possibly want or need in your room was there. Just the best place to stay in every way. Excellent location with parking right outside. Spotless modern room with absolutely everything you need. Friendly host who works hard to provide all those little touches - from allowing an early check in ( our group needed to change to go to a wedding) to make up removal pads and an iron and board which I wouldn’t really have expected in a guesthouse. Breakfast delivered to you in the morning and no militant check out times.

What an fantastic stay we had. Everything about this guest house exceeded our expectations. Perfect host and staff, nothing was any trouble, they went above and beyond. I loved the Peacock guest house, we stayed in the peacockroom the smallest of the rooms, but all amenities were well catered for. Lots of little extras included and you could tell it is a well run ship. Great options for breakfast and that black pudding was the best I’ve had. Just a few minutes walk from seafront and supermarket, bars and restaurants. If back in Largs we will definitely be looking to book here and will warmly recommend to others

We stayed in the cottage for three nights and greatly enjoyed our time in it. It’s very comfortable, spacious even for our family of three. The adjoining hot tub is an added bonus, very therapeutic for tired legs after a day’s walking. We have to mention Elaine’s excellent breakfasts, which set us up magnificently each day. Highly recommended.

The place is spotless and lovely decorated , also situated well for a walk to town or beach . The attention to detail was such a surprise , have stayed in much more expensive places that had nowhere near the amount of little touches . Lovely selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate in the room , a little vanity box in the bathroom with a razor and make up wipes and cotton buds - just the things you’d forget . And to top it all off - the breakfast which was included and far succeeded our expectations - a full veggie breakfast brought to your room to enjoy at the little table - it really set us up for the day.

To break the journey from Tarbert to Cumbria, we decided to opt for an overnight stay in Largs. I found Peacocks guest house on trip adviser and as it had a spare room, I went onto Peacocks website to book it. (good move as it saved me a tenner and probably saved Peacocks the booking fee) We arrived and got a park right outside on their car park then checked in. We had a lovely quirky modern room with a superking four poster bed, and our host brought tea whilst we settled in. We had a walk to the front which is just a few mins away and can be seen from the car park, a meal out, then enjoyed a comfortable night watching the large wall mounted TV in our room. Breakfast arrived at our room bang on the time we had ordered it and we couldn't fault it, plenty to eat and very tasty and well presented. Many thanks to our hosts for an enjoyable stay.

Hi Margaret next time take the cover off for a while before you get in x it’s only 1 degree hotter than a Bath and should have been ok for the recommended 15 minutes then out for a cool down xx

From arrival to leaving everything was spot on. Clean and comfortable, really comfortable bed. Breakfast was brilliant. Friendly and welcoming doesn't say enough, nothing was too much trouble. Everything you could need was available along with things you never thought you might need. Would definitely stay again.

I booked this for myself and my mam. Thought of everything wright down to last thing. Was meet by the owner who offered us a cup of tea and a cake and we chatted for a bit.Breakfast was out of this world. A wonderful stay from start to finish we had here at Peacock's Guest house..We stayed in the beautiful Deluxe Super king four poster room...with a fantastic ensuite shower .There is a wine cooler with water ...Elaine honestly went above and beyond with nice personal touches. The room was carefully arranged, with loads of thoughtful details.We particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the room, which was delicious, and evencatered to my gluten free diet. A choice of pillows was unexpected, but a great idea, as were all the details like,pillow spray, toilet requisites, mini fridge, table and chairs in the room with condiments, wine glasses and Cork screw, to name just a few, little things that can make a huge difference. We stayed overnight following attending a funeral, Elaine was warm and welcoming and made us a lovely cup of tea on arrival.All was spotlessly clean and the bed was roomy and comfortable. We had a nice clean modern en suite bathroom with a bath, a good overhead shower and a window.Breakfast, served in our room, was delicious and plentiful with hot porridge, a cooked breakfast and a cafetiere of good strong coffee. It is only a short walk to the centre of Largs but was very quiet.I would be happy to stay with Elaine again.

Came here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Had an amazing time! Stayed in the thistle room. Was insanely beautiful! Clean and decor was gorgeous. The hot tub was amazing. Elaine couldn't do enough for you (she even ironed my t-shirt). The breakfast was fantastic (great options). My only complaint would be the room temperature was quite hot and would be good if there was air conditioning. Would 100% stay again!

Breakfast is great, slippers and gowns provided, hair dryer and items for ladies’ hygiene and make up removal, handles on the wall for easier access to the non-slip bath, plenty of towels and toiletries. All in all, you’ll be well looked after.

Close to town centre, nicely presented, well equipped, excellent service. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a spotlessy clean room which was stylishly decorated and had an excellent superkingsize bed.We received a warm welcome from the owner Elaine and enjoyed an excellent full Scottish breakfast in our room on the morning if our departure.Overall a great short stay in a great place.Would reccomend and also would return.

Everything was very comfortable.We really appreciated Elaine giving us a delicious late breakfast after we'd been to Largs Prom parkrun.Very convenient, just a few minutes walk from train station and buses to Glasgow.

Starting right from the warm welcome, we were very well looked after and had a lovely stay at Peacocks. Very well presented and spotlessly clean, it is only a short walk either to the town centre or to the sea front. The breakfast was absolutely first class and there was an aura of generosity throughout our stay. Very highly recommended!

On arriving you can see the sea at the end of the street and have private parking at the front. A lovely warm greeting on arrival with the offer of tea/coffee. The room is beautifully decorated, immaculately presented and clean with every comfort. Mini fridge with fresh milk and cool water, Netflix, toiletries and even a pack of cards.You make your breakfast selection via text the evening prior and it's servedin your room (at a proper table and chairs). Very good choice and tasty.Peacocks is in an excellent location for walking into the centre and as mentioned the sea and Promenade is at the bottom of the street. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for a couple of nights and the facilities were absolutely ideal.Accommodation was perfect as was the breakfast - and the hot tub!Elaine was an excellent host.

When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by Elaine who was lovely,she told us about the area,the things we needed to know regarding our room and breakfast and then made us a pot of tea which was very welcome after our long journey .Our breakfast which we chose from the menu and messaged Elaine with our choices was delivered to our room at exactly 8.30 as we requested was piping hot and delicious.We had a perfect stay in a very welcoming and spotlessly clean room and will definitely return if we visit the area again .

What an beautiful gem this place is . From the welcome , to the immaculately clean room with en suite bathroom . It felt like 5 star with all of the added finishing touches. I had another fantastic stay in the cottage on Sunday night with a friend. My 4th stay here and I will definitely be back again. Lovely and cosy cottage with everything you need for a chilled stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the Peacocks Guest House, we stayed in the Peacock room and it was lovely with a very comfortable bed. This is one of the nicest guest houses we have stayed in. The staff were lovely, the food was fab, the room excellent but what really makes it stand out is all the little extras that they include. This is definitely our go to guest house for Largs.

Very warm welcome, the rooms are to a top standard with even a small fridge stocked with fresh water, the breakfast menu is excellent and the food is very good. We would recommend peacocks if you are staying in the largs area you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful stay in a spotlessly clean & comfy family room, close to town centre. We were rxpertly looked after and spoilt by Elaine, nothing was too much trouble for her. She cooked an amazing breakfast, and a Gluten free version for my partner, thus was delivered on a trolley to us to eat in the comfort of our room. Great dual shower/bathroom, good hospitality tray, and free onsite parking as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Had a fantastic stay . Elaine and her family are very friendly and nothing too much bother . Accommodation well furnished and has all the little touches that make it comfortable and is very clean to a very high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if l was in the area . The town centre a 10 min walk so very central for bars and restaurants.

The lodge at the back of the guest house was perfect. The beds and the sofa's were so comfortable. Kitchen and shower cubicles were spotless. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, sugar, tea and coffee all provided. Fridge freezer, cooker and washing machine there to use if required. Breakfast delivered at a time of your choice. Hot tub was amazing, top of the range with lights in and around the hot tub shed, chill out comfy chairs to cool down on if needed.The lodge has everything you need to enjoy your short break. Only a short walk to all the amenities that Largs has to offer.I highly recommend a visit to Peacocks in Largs. You won't be dissapointed.

We were greeted by our host who was very friendly and were shown to our cottage which was immaculate.There was everything we needed and much more.There was garden furniture to enjoy the outside and a hot tub which was very much enjoyed after our long drive up from Berkshire to Largs.We were only able to stay one night but this appears to be a very beautiful place to enjoy the scenery and what Largs has to offer.We hope to return for a holidau and would definitely choose this accommodation.We would recommend Peacocks Guest house for the warm welcome,excellent breakfast and accommodation.

We had a one night stop over in Largs and chose Peacocks Guest House for our B&B. From the moment we arrived the staff and service was excellent. We would certainly recommend Peacocks to all visitors to Largs.

Elaine could not make me more welcome than she did.This is the 2nd time I have stayed and the attention to detail in both the rooms I stayed in was fabulous. This guest house is on par with a 5* hotel. Will definitely be back.

Had an excellent overnight here last weekend. Room very clean and had everything we needed. We had use of the hot tub which was great. And in the morning the breakfast was first class. Will definitely be staying again.

Everything about Peacocks was superb from the location , the parking , the appointment of the rooms , the spotlessly clean facilities , the excellent and ample breakfast selection and above all the friendliness of the host Elaine who went out of her way to welcome us , even to the point of trying to jump start our campervan when we tried to leave and bringing out iced coffee whilst we waited for th AA to come.Make sure you stay at least two nights and go to Tinto Tapas bar.Thank you so much Elaine

We all had the most amazing time at peacocks guest house. It is just like being away from home from home. Elaine can’t do enough for you, she goes above and beyond. The breakfasts are amazing and my mum is gluten free and she even had a great selection. I have been a few times now and will be booking again for next month. We had the cottage with hot tub which my girls said was fab. If you are looking for a place to stay in Largs no need to look any further than here, it’s got everything you need and the most AMAZING host. Xxx

Went to Peacocks fur to the fantastic reviews and was not disappointed. My wife is a clean freak so when she commented on the cleanliness I knew it would be good. Elaine was lovely, she dropped us off at Scott’s restaurant which I thought was very kind . Couldn’t fault anything and the distance to the amenities was perfect… 5 min walk . Returning guest, this time staying in the Heather Suite (double room). Travelled down with my daughter and as always welcomed by an amazing host and room was clean and inviting.I have stayed at Peacocks on many occasions now since lock down restrictions were first lifted, and will continue to book at various dates throughout the year.Peacocks is only a shorty drive from myself, although myself and my family love the place (and their family) that we continue to return for short breaks or even just overnight stays with kids.

We werevery impressed with our room . Everything was lovely and had lots of special touches. Breakfast was great every morning and you couldn't get a better host than Elaine who was so happy to help with anything that you wanted to know or needed. Elaine, the proprietor is a delight and a force of nature to be sure. The accommodation is beautifully set out and absolutely pristine. The breakfast menu is quite simply the best we have encountered anywhere over the years and, as we were veggies, Elaine was still trying to enhance the choices! Thoughtful little touches like our names on the door, and the chocolate treats throughout the stay and not just on day one made the stay special. We look forwards to a return visit.

We had one overnight stay in Heather Room, to visit family locally. The double bed was a bit cramped for us , but this was the only room available. The room and en-suite are definitely ‘compact and bijoux’ but everything we could have needed was there, even a small fridge with chilled water.Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented, and having breakfast in your own room is not only Covid-friendly, but convenient in many ways. Although we didn’t have a cooked breakfast, it was generous and freshly prepared, and the menu is extensive.Elaine is to be commended for being such a welcoming and very helpful hostess, for whom nothing is too much trouble.We will return when in the area again to visit an elderly relative.

Had a fantastic weekend away with my daughters on the 1st of April. I booked the cottage with the hottub Elaine who owns the guest house can't do enough for you breakfast was lovely beds are so comfy overall a great place to stay. I highly recommend peacocks guest house in Largs.

Lovely room, a lot of lovely touches. Like water in the fridge, chocolate beside your bed. Glasses if you have brought wine or whatever with you. Really clean. Shower great. Though room quite small they way it is laid out gives you more space than you think. Breakfast choice was amazing and when came was delicious. You also get it delivered to your room at a time that suits you in the morning which was brilliant. Very easy to find and near the town centre and beautiful beach with lovely walks. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the Peacock Guest House for two nights and had a an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay where every need was catered for. The room was beautifully cosy and immaculately clean. The rather bijou shower room would be a squeeze for two but perfect for me. The breakfast selection was extensive and served at my requested time in my room. The food was piping hot and tasty. Elaine and her team have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Many thanks to them for making my stay in Largs, my first since my husband's very sudden death, as comfortable and enjoyable as it possibly could be.

We had an unexpected overnight stay in Largs due to a breakdown.We booked into the Peacocks Guest House at the last minute. Having been given a voucher for Christmas, my partner and I decided to book for Wednesday 9th March 2022 I telephoned and spoke to the hostess Elaine,the room we had the voucher for was not available, so I paid a bit extra for the cottage with private hot tub. We had a very relaxing break,accommodation was very comfortable, and the breakfast was superb which set us up for the next day. In summary, this place is a wee gem, and we will definitely be back.

The cottage was great nice and cosy. The hot tub was fantastic and Elaine the landlord couldn’t have done enough for us. We ordered a breakfast for one of the mornings and it was excellent. Would definitely be back at some point.

2nd time we have stayed here. 1st time was in a double room. On this occasion we stayed in the cottage at the rear with external (huge) jacuzzi for 3 nights. Everything was perfect again. Spotless, nice and roomy and Elaine is a perfect host. The complimentary breakfast rolls were greatly appreciated. We'll be back again soon and then time and time again.Can't recommend highly enough

I stayed for a week at Peacocks Guest House while I worked on my PhD thesis. The location is perfect: steps away from the water and a few minutes walk to the centre of town and the train station. The "major" road nearby is quiet and makes transit convenient. I was indoors most of the day working on my thesis and it was quiet and peaceful all day and evening.I stayed in the Thistle room, and it was very spacious for just me. It would feel comfortable with a friend or partner as well. The decor was cute and homey, and the amenities (kettle and wee snacks) were lovely. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling; some days I wasn't hungry again until 2pm! I am a vegetarian and there were plenty of options to choose from. The owner was very sweet and made sure I always had anything I needed.

We stayed in the cottage which has 2 twin rooms with very comfortable beds. You also get house coats and slippers. There are 2 shower rooms, a well fitted kitchen and a lounge with a 55inchTV. Everything done to a high standard. Just outside is a lovely big jacuzzi which is enclosed. Its only a 7/10 min walk to town where there are loads of lovely pubs and reastraunts as well as lovely walks along the shore front and you can get a boat there over to Millport. We forgot to order breakfast the night before so make sure you do this as breakfast is lovely as I've stayed here before.

We had a ball here!! The cottage itself was amazing! Warm, clean and beautifully decorated!! Comfortable beds which meant we had a great sleep!! The service was impeccable!! Friendly and attentive!! Hot tub just made the whole visit! Had the best time!! Having breakfast delivered was just the cherry on the cake!! Will absolutely be back!!

Lovely and helpful host. Both fab rooms with quality extras, ie fridge, water, quality products. Room spotless and cosy.lovely bathroom, so clean. Amazing breakfast in room on both days,room service at no extra charge. Better quality and attention to detail than the two so called 4 stars hotels I stayed in on same road trip.Only downside for me was as it's a family guest house, noise from children running and playing in hall on occasions especially after 11pm when guests would expect quiet time.Felt awkward asking them to move from outside my door but really found the noise level for me quite intrusive. Pity, the stay was great until then.

My husband and I along with my teenager daughter had a wonderful one night stay at the Peacocks Guest House Cottage. We were made very welcome on arrival with a tour of our accommodation and the wonderful hot tub area from Elaine. The cottage was spotless with all the little extra touches. We used the hot tub at night and it was a lovely area to relax and unwind.The breakfast was amazing and my daughter especially enjoyed the seasonal berry pancakes with syrup.Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will be visiting again very soon.

Stayed here on the 1 Jan 2021 for 1 night and we were delighted with our room .Elaine the owner has thought of everything to make her guests feel welcome and comfortable .plenty of tea coffee and biscuits ,a small fridge for water etc ,large TV .due to COVID restriction we had a table and chairs in the room and a fabulous breakfast was delivered to our room at the time we requested. Can’t say enough good things about Elaine and Peacocks Guest House!The location is perfect. Just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of Largs but close enough to walk to easily.The house itself is very well laid out. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated. Very comfortable with all the amenities you need including hairdryer and a wee fridge for your water or wine 😂Breakfast is one of the best you will get. A small Scottish breakfast is big enough for me but my husband likes the full breakfast. All cooked to perfection with toast, juice and tea or coffee included. Really can’t praise it enough.Can’t wait to stay a few more times in 2022!!

We were heading towards Ardrossan to get the ferry for a weekend in Arran and happened upon Peacocks for an overnight stay through a booking site. We have a lovely stay and the room was just as described with a very welcoming and helpful host, and an exceptional breakfast

my wife and i have stayed in hundred of hotels and bed and breakfasts over nearly the last 50 years and this one tops the lot spotlessly clean fantastic breakfast little details like your name on the door of your roomslippers and housecoats available chocolates left at the side of your bed biscuits and tea and coffee available fridge in your room all small details but it shows the effort that is made to make your stay as comfortable as they can my wife and i will be back in the near future

This was my second time staying with Elaine and it was another fabulous 3 night stay. The room and bathroom were absolutely spotless with masks and handgel provided. The hospitality tray was extremely well stocked and having a fridge was brilliant for storing cold drinks in the extremely warm weather. The decor is lovely - modern with a traditional twist.Breakfast was AMAZING. We didn't need lunch on any of the 3 days we were in Largs.The b&b is very close to the centre and the ferry port.A very short walk to the shops, restaurants and cafes.There is parking onsite and plenty of free street parking.On the day of checkout I felt really unwell and Elaine was brilliant. She told me not to stress about leaving even though she had people checking in to that room later that day. She knew they weren't coming until much later so would have time to deep clean the room once I felt well enough to leave.We will definitely visit Largs again and will stay at Peacocks.

This was my second stay in Peacocks Guest House and will not be my last. Jim and I absolutely loved our stay. We travel a lot and use luxury hotels and I can honestly say the standard of this guesthouse more than merits the 5 star rating. The facilities and cleanliness are second to none.

Peacocks B&B goes the extra to make you feel special. From your name on your bedroom door to naking you a cup of tea on arrival served with shortbread. There is also tea coffee and hot chocolate in your room along with other biscuits. A small fridge also has bottled water. The breakfast is served at a table in your room and is excellent. For those people like us there is also a very good private large jacuzzi available. Complete with ducks! Elaine is an excellent host and would recommend. We stayed while walking the Aryshire coastal path.

Beautiful little Guest House. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lovely bathroom and great shower. Thoughtful little touches like personalised name plaque on door, coffee/tea tray with biscuits, cold water in fridge, dressing gowns and slippers, extension cable at each side of bed. Very helpful - offered coffee on arrival even though you cwn make your own and no trouble to get extra pillow. Didn't have patio, which was in room description, but wasn't an issue. Forgot all about hot tub! Amazing breakfast menu to choose from and food was delicious. Reasonably priced, - would definitely go back.

Lovely place to stay, very comfortable, good position in town, easy access to coast and centre. I stayed here a few years ago and it was a bit tired. That is mot the case now, it’s been taken over and refurbished to a high standard. Thoroughly recommend.

Elaine pays great attention to detail in this delightful guest house. The decor and furnishings are elegant and comfortable, breakfast delicious and Elaine provided plant based alternatives for our daughter, who is vegan. We received a warm and friendly welcome.The property is also well located, with just a short walk down to the sea front.This is a gem of a find at a great price.

Really gorgeous guest house within a short walk to centre of Largs. Friendly and hospitable host who goes out of her way to help and make sure everyone is happy. Breakfast was great the next morning and we also got to leave our cases for a while we went to the shops. Second time staying here and brought my mum and friend who fell in love with the place too. Just back from a lovely family weekend at the Peacocks Guest House, staying in the family room. We felt welcome from the minute we got there by the owner Elaine and the now famous Hugo the dog whom my son fell in love with. The place was immaculate and kept to a high standard. My 7 year old son love it there and the hot tub just made it. Lovely private space, undercover and again to a high standard on all levels. The small fridge in the room was very handy and food service was exceptional (amazing choice and first class food).Thank you for a fantastic stay :)

Lovely room with ensuite both kitted out with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Breakfast was served in the room with a number of options offered on the menu. Honestly can't speak highly enough of Peacocks Guest House, we had the most amazing visit, perfect hosts, we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Booked the cottage with hot tub, which is very private and relaxing, everywhere was immaculate and beautifully decorated. What a beautiful guest house. Immaculate throughput, stunning decor. We receiveda very warm welcome from Elaine the proprietor. We arrived too early for booking in but Elaine took time out of her busy schedule and made us some tea and biscuits. We sat in the courtyard until our room was available. Peacocks guest house is by far above any that we have stayed at in Largs. Our room was beautiful, fresh white linen on the beds. A fridge with a lovely chilled bottle of water. Tea and coffee making facilities. Water glasses, wine glasses and a corkscrew. Hand sanitizer and masks. A table in the corner with all the condiments you required for breakfast. ( we didn’t eat breakfast as we had breakfast with family members every morning). The breakfast did smell delicious. The bathroom had everything you needed and more. Dressing gown and slippers a shower cap. Shampoo and conditioner also body wash. Tissues in a box a hairdryer in bedside drawers. The thought and detail that has gone into this wonderful guest house is on another level. I cannot wait to return and we are about to book our next visit. Congratulations Peacocks guest house for making our stay so fantastic and memorable. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

My partner and I were at peacocks guest house in the cottage with hot tub on Friday the 23rd of July, from the moment we got there we were welcomed and made to feel at ease. Elaine and Gordon are fantastic hosts so easy to speak to they welcomed us and were on hand for anything we needed. The cottage it’s self is absolutely beautiful it was spotless the hot tub was fantastic as well it’s a home from home and we will definitely be back as soon as we can. Prior to our stay at Peacock Guest House I phoned and spoke to Elaine Peacock to explain my wife and I were planning a local all day boat trip from Largs and wouldn’t arrive back until the evening, Elaine offered us to use their private car park while we were away, which was a great idea. Elaine also gave us the room key so we could suit ourselves when we returned.When we arrived at Peacock’s Guest House we were warmly met by Elaine who made us feel relaxed and welcome. The room itself was excellent, we were touched to see a heart shaped plaque with our name hanging on the outside of the door, on entry it was evident a great deal of thought was put into this room, everything was pristine from the furnishings, beautiful floral decorations and a swish flat screen TV in the main room. Through to the bathroom with a walk in shower, and plenty supplies of toiletries. For a cup of tea/coffee all the edibles were far superior to anything I had experienced before, normally some shortbread is provided but we were treated to Teacakes and Caramel Wafers and a plentiful supply of Teas, Coffees ect. In the bay window was a set table and two chairs which we used for breakfast from which the menu was excellent.The bed was comfortable, and the room was complete with mood lighting. We booked our breakfast for 9am, the staff who served our needs were kind, courteous and professional.It was a very welcoming and comfortable stay and we have no hesitation in giving the experience an excellent rating.Our room was at the front of the house so we could see onto the car park which was great as it was only a short distance to carry our cases and bags. Also in view at the far left hand side of the car park was where the bins were housed in a pleasantly painted shed, I thought this was an excellent spot as it meant the bins were not trundled from the back of the property to the front, clever thinking, well done.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Peacocks and totally pampered by Elaine and Gordon.We were a group of five staying in three rooms which were spotlessly clean, everything provided including fresh dressing gowns and slippers, a well stocked refreshments tray and a fridge and breakfast cooked to order and served in our bedrooms.The breakfast list was extensive from the full Scottish to Continental or even just tea and toast, all cooked to order and brought to our rooms to enjoy at the seating area.We even had a spare face mask and hand sanitiser.It is obvious that Elaine and Gordon have complied above and beyond the strict Covid regulations and have worked extremely hard to make sure their guests are safe and comfortable.Elaine was also at our convenience if we needed to get a taxi and she was there to run us about. Absolutely first class service all round. We were there for four days and would willingly have stayed longer if we could.We would definitely recommend Peacocks Guest House without hesitation when visiting the beautiful town of Largs and surrounding area.

Stayed in cottage for my 4th time since restrictions lifted November 2020 at weekend (09/07/21-12/07/21).As always cottage was spotless, no faults or issues at all and as always Elaine was soo cheerful on arrival.My kids absolutely love visiting the cottage and although we only stay 20minutes away it's a fabulous little getaway, perfect for any staycation.Elaine and her family are very nice and as always when I leave the cottage I do say "see you soon" as I know for definite I will be returning for a few more stays.Would recommend Peacocks to anyone 10/10 ..x

A brilliant room, modern and fantastic bathroom and the breakfast is definitely something to sign up to. Would highly recommend.One slight complaint about a smell of stale smoke.

I don't know where to start with this family ran guest house I have just returned from after 5 days with my children. There was white robes, slippers, tea/coffee biscuits, fridge for all your needs and filled with large beautiful glass water bottle every day. The room was spotless from top to bottom not a detail missed for all your best comforts. The linen bathroom were immaculate! The docor was modern, inviting and beds were so comfortable! The breakfasts were delivered to your room by such wonderful family staff and was the best breakfast I have EVER had! The children were included in their welcoming and all through the week and could not do enough for us. Elaine was so warm and inviting, everything from the choice of breakfasts, hot tub and dropping us to and from excursions. She didn't have to do that but shows the kind of family that are running this gust house! I can't wait to return and highly recommend! Thank you!

Elaine went out of her way to makeour holiday complete by driving us down to the town or back home and to the station.I will be back.

My wife and I both enjoyed a lovely night at the peacock house. We stayed in the peacock room which was beautifully decorated, very homely and had everything we could need. The service was great. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with lots of choice. The location is excellent and we can’t wait to return in the future and would stay longer next time.

Peacock guest house is very comfortable and in a great location for the Largs seafront (5 minute walk). Elaine gives you a warm welcome and seems to have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast choice is incredible, it was hot and tasty and served in your room (during COVID restriction time at least) at a time of your choosing. We would definitely stay there again.

My mum and I had a fantastic 2 night stay. The room was a great size with a single and double bed. Everything was scrupulously clean which was very important to us(particularly at this difficult time). The breakfast choice was brilliant and of a very high quality. The pancakes, bacon and maple syrup were amazing. We were very happy to have breakfast served at the table in our room at a time of our choice. There was a fridge in the room with a large bottle of chilled water and little sachets of squash. Lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Even decaf coffee and tea. The location is brilliant with onsite parking and plenty of free off street parking. Less than 10 minutes walk to the town centre. I am already planning my next visit. Attention to detail was amazing and the wee personal touches like your names on the door the mini fridge in the room with bottled water and the masks and hand sanitiser was a great idea. Elaine and her daughter were very welcoming and the breakfast in the morning was great and the idea because of Covid bringing it to your room on a trolley was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Also it is walking distance to town so in an ideal location.

My wife and I had a recent weekend stay at Peacocks (21st to 23rd May) and we absolutely loved it.We have stayed at Largs before so really like the area and enjoy the walks and pubs available.Check in was to be at 2:00 p.m. but as we hoped to travel through earlier, I messaged and asked if we arrived early was there parking available.Got a really quick reply stating that would not be an issue and that they would aim to have our room ready for 12:30.Turned up about 12:40 and were met with a really friendly lady, Elaine, who showed us to our room.On walking in to the room we just thought WoW, lovely big room with a Double and single bed. There was also a really well set up table and 2 chairs set in the corner for breakfast. All decor was extremely tasteful, looked great.There was tea making facilities and chocolate biscuits available. The room had a small fridge with bottled water which was perfect.There were just so many additional small touches that made you smile every time you seen them, on the outside of the room door was a small sign, in the style of a wee blackboard with our names on it. It felt like a really personal touch.The room had a newly installed en suite shower room with drench shower, it was wonderful.Our booking came with a full breakfast and the available menu was extensive with several choices. Great idea of simply texting the owner before 9 p.m. with your choice and giving the time you would like it brought to your room.There was an option of the meat feast breakfast which was an 11 piece breakfast plus your tea and toast. It was huge and I have to admit it was wonderful.All in all we had a great weekend, the guest house was exceptional, the owners really friendly and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic B&B lose enough to Largs centre you can park the car and just enjoylittle walk to everything. Elaine was a diamond of a host, house is immaculate and they can't do enough for you will be back in December with our daughters can't wait

A fabulous couple of nights at Peacocks Cottage. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble Elaine is a great host. Hot tub was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back again Thanks Elaine for having us ????

This Guest House is a wee gem and I would highly recommend. Hosts are exceptional and provide excellent customer service...they go above and beyond. Breakfast amazing and to a high standard. Location is spot on too. Anyone who stays here will be well taken care of.

Peacocks guest house we had the 2 bed lodge at the rear of the main property which had its own 6 person hot tub which was very well secluded also this place is excellent from time of booking to checking out nothing is too much trouble the service is excellent the food has a great choice for breakfast and caters for everyone which by the way was presented very professional and also was excellent qualityI would recommend this guest house to anyoneWe will definitely be staying here again when I LargsExcellent workSteve lynn Gillian and PeteWolverhampton and Lossiemouth

Delighted that our room was as good as the pictures. Good sized room with large comfortable bed. Easy to maintain social distancing as breakfast is served in your room. Food was lovely with a great choice. All the usual facilities and a high standard of cleanliness. Slight issue with the shower but the host resolved the matter right away. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.

We had a marvellous stay at the peacock. Room was good size very nicely decorated and spotless. Bathroom was perfect . Elaine the owner was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was great loads to choose from and freshly cooked . Guesthouse is in a great location lovely walk to town centre. Largs is well worth a visit. Would defo stay here again.

Well looked after from the minute we arrived. The cottage was absolutely spotless, Elaine showed us how to work oven heating etc, had told Elaine we was coming down for my partners 30th. Both cottage and hot tub area was decked out in balloons and banners for us arriving.Great location, Elaine made us breakfast both mornings. Honestly hard to find a single fault with our stay.Absolutely fantastic and can’t wait to get back

We had a wonderful stay at Peacocks guest house. The room was very clean and everything you needed was there...Elaine was extremely helpfuland even offered to drive us to our restaurant that night . Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay here again .

Stayed at this guest house for one night. We were impressed as soon as we walked in the door. Nice touches like our names on the door and owner came in straight away to tell us how to work everything. Room and en-suite was gorgeous. We were served with a lovely breakfast the next morning direct to our room after ordering the previous night. Can’t fault a single thing and would definitely stay again. Owner was really friendly and let us store our luggage the next morning so we could go out. 10/10.

Excellent place withgreat service

Excellent stay at this lovely guest house. Spotlessly clean and had little extras like bath robes and tea and coffee making facilities. Free biscuits and a mini fridge in the room with cold water. Lovely host. Even provided ice for us to enjoy a drink in the evening. Extensive breakfast choice delivered at your chosen time to your room. Definitely recommend

Had an excellent 2 night stay at Argyll and Bute Cottage, the self contained cottage at Peacocks Guest House B&B. Both bedrooms are en suite and immaculately clean. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook but we ordered breakfast and it was delivered to our cottage at the time we wanted. Having our own personal hot tub was fantastic. We will certainly be back. It would win 4 in a bed easy. Elaine and her family couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend it.

We came to Peacocks for my sisters 50th birthday as 2 couples and booked the Argyll and Bute cottage. Firstly when we arrived Elaine greeted us and took us round the back showing us our accomodation and our hot tub which we had full access to. First impression was that this place was so clean and highly maintained absolutely spotless. The hot tub area was also spotless. We stayed for 2 nights and also booked in a cooked breakfast the first morning which was delicious. Elaine and her family were very welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we are coming back in 3 months!
